THE FULL TOUR
Everything we built, in order.
This is the long page. It is the one people send to a friend. Nothing on it is a plan or a roadmap. It is what runs today, every day, on real calls.
The Ready button and the equipment check
Chrome on a computer with a headset. One huge round button. Grey means Off. Green and breathing means Ready. Amber means a call is on its way.
Every time an agent goes Ready, a ten second check runs first. A tone plays and they confirm they heard it. A live meter proves the microphone works. The phone line registers. No pass, no Ready. A bad headset never costs anyone a call.
- A live heartbeat with every agent's browser every five seconds.
- A dead tab, a sleeping laptop or a dropped connection takes that agent Off within seconds. No call is sent to them.
- Coaching tips show under the button while they wait.
The call lands, no ring
When a caller is transferred, the call drops straight into the agent's headset with a soft connected tick. No ringtone, no press 1, no accept button, no hold music, no voicemail, no IVR. Ever.
Retreaver only counts the call as answered when the agent's browser has actually connected, so a caller is never handed to an empty line.
- Fail closed by design. Down, slow, unknown or ambiguous all mean not available.
- Losing a call is acceptable. Connecting a caller to nobody is not.
- One call at a time per agent, enforced by the app's own state machine, not by hoping.
The timer, the clock and the hidden number
A big timer ring fills as the call runs and flips green at the campaign's clock, the qualified call point.
The caller's phone number stays hidden until the clock passes. That is server enforced, not a hidden field, so nobody can short a call to harvest numbers. It protects the call sources and keeps volume flowing to everyone.
- The agent sees the caller's state from the moment the call lands.
The script beside the call
The team script sits next to the live call, formatted as SAY THIS and ASK THIS rows with colored section banners. The call card, the timer and the hang up button stay pinned while the agent scrolls.
- The operator edits the script in the admin with versions. Agents always read the current one.
- A Script tab lets them study it any time.
The wrap up, locked
When a call ends the agent is locked on What happened? until they answer. Eleven dispositions in a fixed layout: Sold, Follow Up Scheduled, Spanish, Hung Up, No One on Line, Cannot Afford, Not Interested, Carrier Declined, Already has insurance, Over age 80, Over age 85. Tap, then confirm. Two taps, always.
- Sold asks for annual premium, carrier from a list, and plan type: Level, Graded or GI.
- No caller personal data, ever, by design.
- An optional What were they watching? box feeds channel reporting.
- After the disposition the agent is Off until they click Ready again, so nobody gets flooded and every call gets a clean wrap up.
- Agents can go back in My Calls and change a disposition later. Reports follow.
States and routing that agents control
Agents pick the states they are licensed in with one tap per state, in the app. The app writes those states to Retreaver's routing automatically and verifies them, with a before and after record of every change. No spreadsheets, no emailing a list.
- Routing matches the caller's state to licensed agents.
- Calls are split fairly among equal agents by who has waited longest.
- Daily, weekly and monthly caps are respected, on Pacific time.
- Out of state callers are refused at the ping, instantly, so a call for one state never wastes another agent's slot.
Campaigns, prices and the confirm
A campaign is a price level with its own clock. There are four: Bronze at ten seconds, Silver at thirty, Gold at sixty and Platinum at ninety.
Agents pick their campaign on the Home screen. Every time they go Ready they confirm the campaign, its price and its clock on screen. If the operator changes a price, every agent on that campaign is taken Off and must confirm the new terms before their next call.
- The price and clock are frozen on every call at that confirm. A later price change never touches an old call, an old report or an old bill.
- Pricing rules per agent: the campaign price, a flat price, or at cost plus a markup, with per source overrides for special deals.
- A payer can be set, so a team lead can pay for a whole team on one card.
The agent's own Dashboard and My Calls
Calls taken, qualified calls, Sold, annual premium written, total spent, cost per policy, average premium per sale. Date range chips. A campaign filter, so every tile can be read per campaign, with cost per acquisition per campaign, so an agent can decide which campaign is best for them.
My Calls holds every call the agent ever took and the details the app knows: rang at, answered at, ended at, seconds to answer, who hung up, disposition, premium. Private notes. The number shown only once the clock passed.
- Disposition bars, the policy list, best day, billable streak.
- Nothing about other agents, sources or the operator's costs. Their numbers, only theirs.
Billing agents can actually read
Card on file through Stripe's own secure box. Our servers never see or store a card number.
One charge each evening after 7 PM Pacific for that day's qualified calls, at the frozen price of each call. The Stripe description and the Billing tab itemize it per campaign and per call: time, campaign, connected time, clock, price, total, and not on this bill for short and credited calls.
- Receipts by email. CSV and PDF.
- The operator can credit a single call. It drops off every report and the agent's cost everywhere, under one rule.
- A failed card puts the agent on hold until a new card is saved and the charge goes through.
- The Billing tab shows the card, every charge and the signed agreement.
The agreement and the sign up link
The agreement is signed inside the app in two minutes, with a typed name and a saved PDF on both sides. New versions can require everyone to sign again before their next Ready. Every acceptance keeps who, when, the typed name, the IP and the browser.
New agents come in through one link: terms, name, email, password, phone, states, campaign, agreement, card. The operator finishes the phone line and turns them on.
For call sources: how we take calls
Real time ping and post through Retreaver: a postback key per source, a fifteen second reservation, reserved with a number to dial, or no target so you never send a call nobody can take. A plain destination number also works.
Every ping is answered from our app's live picture of every agent: Ready with a passed line check, not on a call, not wrapping up, licensed for the caller's state, under their caps, campaign chosen and confirmed. Not a phone system guessing from a status light someone forgot to change.
- Nationwide is fine. Routing matches the caller's state to licensed agents automatically.
- No dead air, no voicemail, one call per agent at a time, enforced.
- Caller ID must be passed through, never masked. Routing reads the state from it and the agent sees the state at ring time.
- To start we need a DID or API, states, hours, a daily cap and concurrency.
The data behind every call
A live board of every agent: state, seconds since last check in, an incoming badge with the caller's state, the live call timer, whether the number is revealed, how long they have been waiting, which campaign they take, and a wall mode for a TV.
A ping log of every availability question Retreaver asked, with the answer, the reason and the response time in milliseconds, so why did nobody get calls is always answerable.
- Every call carries both records: ours, with rang, answered, ended, connected time to the millisecond, who hung up, disposition and premium, and Retreaver's, with the payable flag, payout, recording link and durations. Matched automatically by call id, then by caller plus time.
- Reports by source, by agent and by campaign: calls, connected, qualified, qualified rate, dead air rate, short hang ups, dispositions, Sold, premium, premium per qualified call, cost per sale, average seconds to a live agent. CSV everywhere.
- A scorecard per source: average seconds to live agent, connect rate, qualified rate, dead air count, short calls. One page proof of quality.
- Statements per agent by campaign and day. A this was a test switch keeps test calls out of every number.
- Reconciliation every morning: each source's own records pulled through their API, lined up with Retreaver and our calls per call, every gap priced and explained, a loss line that should trend to zero, and a dispute export per source.
Reliability and trust, the boring parts done right
Availability is answered from memory with no database on the hot path, in under a millisecond of server time. Every answer is logged.
- Every phone company webhook is signature checked.
- Secrets live only in the hosting platform's vault. Nothing sensitive is ever typed into chat or code.
- Daily database backups. Uptime monitoring on the health endpoint. Logins survive restarts.
- Agents never see a source's name. Sources never see a buyer's name. Buyers never see other buyers. The operator sees everything.
- Every write to Retreaver is confirmed on screen with a before and after and logged. Every credit, refund, hold and setting change is audited.
Built by an operator
Built and run by an agency owner who takes these calls himself, on the same screens, and reads the same ping log at night.
Every rule on this page came from a real call that went wrong somewhere else first.
THE CAMPAIGNS
Four campaigns. One clock each.
THE RATE CARD
Request prices.
Prices are not posted in public. Tell us who you are and which campaigns you want, and you get the current numbers back the same day.
